As part of DJ Mag's round-up of all the best in dance music in 2019, and in the 2010s, they decided to spotlight some of the best in film, too. We're proud to be part of the decade’s line up with Romuald Karmakar's film DENK ICH AN DEUTSCHLAND IN DER NACHT (IF I THINK OF GERMANY AT NIGHT, 2017), starring Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear, Ata, Roman Flügel, David Moufang/Move D.
DENK ICH AN DEUTSCHLAND IN DER NACHT (WP: Int. Film Festival Berlin 2017) takes a look at five pioneers of electronic music for whom work is their raison-d’être. In between eloquent thoughts from the musicians in interviews, quiet observations of them at work at their DJ home, and images of sweating masses at raves, a selective image gradually and very quietly emerges of a music scene in transition, at the backdrop of current European reality.
